I had a R-THR Monday Oct. 27th and it went pretty well. I have been a member since July 08, but have only made about 3 posts. I want to thank everyone for sharing your experiences about AVN with the group.

I did not even know what AVN is until I got it and thanks to all the good information I received from the group, it made going through this whole experience even surgery much easier to take, because I had a good understanding of what to expect. There are not a lot of people to ask or talk to about AVN since very few have even heard of it. Back to my update I am doing well and am able to get around pretty good with the help of a walker. The AVN pain is gone in my r-hip but, I am still left with some pain from my surgery. This pain is a little easier to take mainly because I know it will get better. Avn pain never went away for me and there seemed to be no end to it until surgery. I go back to my Doctor Nov. 12th for a checkup.

I continue to read about other experiences and am Thanking God for this group and what it is doing to help people like me understand what is happining to our bodies.
