As Donna welcomes a new member to the group, she writes

Hello [new member],

Welcome to our wonderful group. Sorry to meet this way, but I'm sure that you will find us to be a blessing in your life. I know that I surely have. No where else will you find a group of kinder, more sincere, caring, loving and understanding. Please read as much as you can in the [Docs. & Links] sections, and others.

Knowledge is very empowering. As Marie, our Founder always says, be your own best patient advocate. I'm sure that you will find that the medical staff will have greater respect for you when they find out the amount of knowledge that you have about this horrid condition. You have your hands full with all of your little ones. Each of us has different challenges to face, and we do help each other in ways that people who don't have the disease can't.

I'm 52, just had my second THR in just over a year 3 1/2 wks ago. We all come from different areas of the world, diff. backgrounds, and can understand your plight like nobody else can.
